A new tree was recently planted in the garden of the Apropo organization in Jičín – a young oskeruše (service tree). More than just greenery, it represents a strong symbol of growth, resilience, and hope. The tree was donated by Vladimír Šulc, CEO of MICRORISC, as part of the company’s long-standing support of Apropo’s mission.
The act of planting builds on the symbolic gesture from last year’s benefit event “In the Shade of a Tree”, inspired by the story The Man Who Planted Trees. At that time, the tree was ceremonially gifted, and now – months later – it has taken root in a place where it can grow alongside those who find care, understanding, and new opportunities at Apropo.
“We didn’t plant the tree just for decoration. We hope it brings joy, and one day, fruit – both literally and symbolically. It's a reminder that even small gestures of support can yield meaningful results,” says Vladimír Šulc.
We thank everyone who contributes to making the lives of people with disabilities richer, more fulfilling, and firmly rooted – just like the new tree in Apropo’s garden.
